I don’t know if this is the first strip in which I used those anime-style rushing background lines, but it’s a visual device I would use over and over again. And Brian’s whole blindfolded fighting routine was a take-off on The Matrix, but I’m pretty sure it probably copped it from somewhere else first.

“Lamp-Fu” though? Definitely one of the goofiest things that ever popped up in this comic. Slicing up zombies with a big old blunt-edged floor lamp? Classic Orneryboy weirdness.
