The inspiration for this strip came while Jen was still a vegetarian, but not yet vegan. And this scenario is pretty true to life, actually. There was a cupboard in our kitchen, within which lurked all manner of neglected chocolate Easter treats, regardless of the time of year. And it wasn’t a chocoholic’s paradise by any stretch. It was a big pile of the worst kind of tasteless, waxy, discount chocolate… Ready to spill out the instant the cupboard door was opened.
